RHIG "Sweet as Candy" Trivia Night

Valentine's Day-themed trivia night was a casual get-together for RHIG members and friends to come together and answer some sexual and reproductive health trivia questions.

Digital Advocacy: Strategies for Advocating from Home

For National Public Health Week, RHIG, in partnership with PHSA, hosted a digital advocacy event to show people that advocacy does not have to stop just because we are stuck at home. Gina Moore, NARAL Pro-Choice America's Southern California Organizer, coached participants on telling and leveraging their personal stories to spark political change. She also spoke on how to send messages to your local representatives to advocate on issues important to you from the safety of your own home.

RHIG Professional Development Event

Our last event of the year was a professional development webinar hosted by Emily Escobar who was the former national campus organizer for the Feminist Majority Foundation. She provided a webinar on non-profit work including the different sectors (public policy, grassroots organizing, and direct service provision), diversity and inclusion in the workplace, and resources to find jobs and internships in the sexual and reproductive health space.
